A History

Oriental Rug Specialist has been in business in Aiken, South Carolina for over twenty years. Margaret Noisworthy, the founder, began in the rug business in Savannah, Georgia in 1980. After her marriage to Pat in 1981 she closed her Savannah shop and followed her husband to California where she continued in the rug business in different capacities until 1990.

In 1991 Pat's job took them back to the east coast where they settled in Aiken, SC. Here Margaret started her new business - Oriental Rug Specialist. 

Designs

To us, nothing is more personal or romantic than a beutiful area rug whether it is a handmade oriental rug, a beautiful sisal or seagrass rug or a speciality rug such as indoor/outdoor rugs. We take it as a compliment every time someone cares to order from our shop.
